The Many Uses of Coconut Oil (Part 2)
The Coconut Oil has proven its versatility and there are still uses left to be discovered. You may have a bottle of Coconut Oil lying around; you might want to expand its uses.
Great Breath Equalizer
Is your mouthwash too stingy for your taste? Would you like to find a more holistic approach? Try oil pulling method. Do this first thing you wake up. Gargle one tablespoon of coconut oil for twenty minutes, spit it out and follow up with a salty warm water solution then brush as usual. The logic of this is, bacteria and virus are made of lipids and they get attracted to the coconut oil and get pulled away once oil is spitted out leaving gums healthier, whiter teeth and fresher breath.
That Lice Issue – Be gone
There is a lice outbreak in your child’s daycare and those commercially prepared lice medication is too harsh for your little one. There is always coconut oil to rescue you. Drench hair with coconut oil and let it sit for 12 to 24 hours. Before washing the oil out, find a fine comb to weed out those pesky lice.
Coconut oil has deodorizing and anti-microbial benefits therefore it can be a good ingredient for a homemade deodorant. Mix the following with the coconut oil, arrow root powder, baking soda, cornstarch and a few drops of your preferred essential oil.
Ditch Those Eye bags
The kind of bags you don’t want to be seen carrying around. Lightly apply coconut oil around your eyes and say good bye to your puffy eyes.
Not every one of us can be hand models but we can follow their habits. To keep hands supple and cuticles from peeling, slather some coconut oil on your hands and massage until coconut oil is absorbed.
